Do you want to be a CRIS Authorized Reseller? When you become a CRIS Reseller you'll be able to offer offender information right from your own website. CRIS Resellers have complete access to the CRIS Offender databases. This enables your customers to access the data seemlessly from your web page or gateway directly to CRIS. To join the CRIS Reseller Program, look over the terms and conditions for commercial customers, complete the Registration application form and call CRIS at 503-591-1355. CRIS currently provides data using the following methods:
"Drop In" Frame Method - The "Drop In" method provides the easiest solution for resellers. The reseller simply creates a framed web page, creates a form to collect pertinent information, and submits the frame to CRIS. CRIS will return a formatted list of names into your frame.
"XML Server" Method - CRIS has designed a TCP server program which communicates through your TCP client by exchanging data using the XML (eXtensible Markup Language) protocol. The resellers client program can be written in any language or platform that can communicate through sockets.
